Hello,

Welcome family and friends to the TEAM EMILY fundraising page. I have joined and started this page for my sister in memory of her precious daughter Emily. As some of you may know, recently my sister and brother in law lost their baby. My sister was 6 months pregnant and during the ultrasound she had no heartbeat. Little Emily was perfectly healthy but her heart stopped beating. No reason was found for why it happened. Not having a reason is probably one of the hardest parts for them. Unfortunately these things happen more often than you'd think. I saw a picture of Emily, she was so tiny and beautiful just like her Mom. The entire pregnancy was filled with many ups and downs for them. So now I'd like to do this for my sister and brother in law to help with the grieving process and bring awareness to this organization. They provide support and resources for families experiencing the death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or early infancy. My sister and brother in law need to know they are not alone and it's okay to grieve. My heart breaks when I think of what they have been through. I also know many others that have had the pain of losing a baby. The walk brings these families together and makes them feel like they aren't alone and its okay to talk and cry about it. Sara and Shane find comfort knowing Emily is now in Gods hands. I can't thank you all enough for your support. It means so much to me.....Leah!
