Thank you for visiting the Team Kroll - Remember Our Ben fundraising page for the Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope on October 17, 2015.

Adam, Sydney, Aubrey & Ellery along with my family in St. Louis will be walking in memory of our son, Ben (named this because Ben in Hebrew means son).  Ben would have been 7 years old this summer and was our first and only son.  We walk every year in his memory and look to raise money for Share to help other families who experience infant loss.

Ben was stillborn on July 21, 2008.  We were 31 weeks pregnant and learned via ultrasound that Ben no longer had a heartbeat and that we had lost him.  We had to experience labor & delivery of our son knowing the outcome of having to go home from the hospital without our baby.  This moment was devastating.  

We soon after learned about Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support, a non-profit organization, that helps bereaved families who are grieving and need support during this difficult time of loss.  We could not have gotten through our loss without the services of Share.  These are free services to those in need and in order to continue to offer free services, we must continue to raise funds.

More than 20,000 families around the world are served each year by Share. Here are just a few examples of the services Share provides:

1) Share is the first point of contact for those experiencing pregnancy or infant loss. We receive 10,800 phone calls for support and referrals annually.

2) Share distributes more than 5,000 resource packets a year to bereaved parents around the world.

3) Share provides partnering hospitals with grief resource packets in mother/baby units, emergency rooms and outpatient surgery centers.

4) Share serves nearly 20,000 individuals a year through support group programs in more than 75 chapters and is dedicated to setting standards for these aftercare programs.

5) Share maintains an interactive website that generates more than 1,200 visits a week and which provides a news-letter, blog, message boards and chat rooms on various grief and loss issues.

6) Share reaches out through social networking with more than 9,000 Facebook followers and grows on average by 150 visitors per month.
